Heated smooth stones are placed over key points of the body and then used to warm and relax the muscles. Hot stones help to promote relaxation, improve circulation, calm the nervous system and help to re-balance and ground the body and mind.
Essential oils can lift the mood, calm the senses, and elicit powerful emotional responses. Oils have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Four Pillars Spa proudly incorporates doTerra Essential Oils within each treatment to calm, revitalize and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.
Reflexology is a technique of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas to the hands and feet that correspond with different organs and systems in the body. This treatment can be incorporated into any other massage and is an excellent method to promote overall good health.
Hawaiian Healing Massage
Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage that uses a combination of massage techniques, coconut oil, hot stones and elements of prayer and breathing to restore energy and soothe the body, mind and spirit. It is also known as the ‘loving hands’ massage and can feel like gentle waves flowing over your body promoting circulation and leaving you feeling completely relaxed.
Five Element Shiatsu
Shiatsu utilizes acupressure massage techniques that go back thousands of years. We work energy pathways and points in your body using stretching, jostling, passive range-of-motion, percussion, and mindful compression. Shiatsu can be light or deep and is very relaxing.
Thai massage is an ancient art of whole body rejuvenation based on Buddhist principles of mindfulness and “loving kindness”. It combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. Thai massage stretches and loosens tightened muscles, releases tension and relieves joints.
Acupuncture for Pain Relief
An ancient practice suited for today’s world to reduce pain and increase function. Pinpoints and effectively treat acute pain, sports injuries, sciatica, headaches/migraines, neuropathies, TMJ, and more.
Acupuncture for Stress & Anxiety Reduction
Stress puts the body in fight or flight mode. By stimulating our body’s innate natural ability to heal itself, and the part of the brain that controls emotions, including stress and anxiety, acupuncture can reduce stress and strengthen the immunity after just a few treatments. Also, ideal for low energy, colds & flu.
Acupuncture for Chronic Conditions
Using needles to stimulate our innate self-healing powers, acupuncture can create treatment pathways for a wide range of chronic conditions including allergies, chronic inflammation (MS), IBS, lack of mental clarity and energy, etc. It is also helpful in aiding in recovery for stroke and cancer patients.
Acupuncture is an ancient art that uses extra fine, sterile needles to stimulate our innate self-healing powers, creating treatment pathways for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Alone or in combination with other natural modalities, the gentle stimulation of Yin-Yang energies (Qi) at the mind-body-spirit level promotes repair, maintenance and optimal well-being.
A wide variety of ancient and modern Chinese medical techniques and tools are offered to receive positive results. Some are provided within the treatment. Please inquire as a separate service and for cost.
- Moxibustion– a method of producing analgesia via heat from burning herbs
- Acupressure– acupuncture points stimulated by finger pressure instead of with the insertion of needles
- Gua Sha– a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to release unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulate blood flow and healing
- Electro-Stimulation– the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses
- Herbal Medicine– physician grade supplements based on Chinese dietary guidelines (pricing varies)
Dynamic Cupping Release
Cupping is a suction technique that releases muscle tension in and around joints and draws healing blood flow to injured and painful sites – remember all those eye-popping red circles on the Olympic swimmers? However, by moving energy and opening up the pores, Cupping also reduces fever and lung congestion in cases of colds, flu, asthma, allergies and bronchitis.
B-12 & Homeopathic Injections
B-12 Methylcobalamin is highly absorbable form of this important B-vitamin most often used to promote energy and healthy nerve cells. Helpful for fatigue, neuropathies and mental focus. Homeopathic injectibles are natural and come in many forms to treat joint and muscle pain, weight loss, edema, allergies, immune deficiency and shingles.
Reiki is a Japanese hands-on healing technique that allows for stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the bodies natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains health. Reiki healing allows the flow of pure, gentle, life force energy to the recipient through the attuned Reiki practitioner. It allows deep relaxation, accelerates natural healing, decreases blood pressure, aids in better sleep, relieves pain, removes energy blockages, clears emotions, and increases our natural vitality.
Life force energy flows through the top of the head nurturing us with 7 distinct kinds of energy that contribute to physical, mental and emotional strength. Grounded earth energy flows upward through the root chakra that makes us feel safe, supported, and secure. Persistent life difficulties and patterns become anchored in the body and block the natural flow of energy. Blockages are cleared utilizing reiki, stones, aromatherapy, guided visualization, and pendulum testing leaving your mind, body, and spirit open and well connected.
Zero Balancing® is a hands-on mind/body system of therapy that balances the relationship of energy and structure within the bones and tissues of the body. Zero Balancing promotes internal balance and harmony through the use of skilled touch. A Zero Balancing session consists of gentle acupressure focusing on joints and bones. The full session takes 60 minutes with approximately 40 minutes on the table. Your practitioner will place gentle finger pressure (fulcrums) into foundational areas including spine, hips, feet and neck to release held tension. Aligning energy with structure enhances the body’s natural healing processes and supports optimum health.
We customize each sound healing session to target and address your specific needs. A 60- minute session includes an assessment of personal needs, breathing to elicit the body’s relaxation response, future visioning, chakra balancing, sound healing with the crystal bowls and an audio recording of the session.
