CHINESE FOOD THERAPY SEMINAR –
with Dr. Rene Ng (AP. L.Ac)
In the Chinese culture, when one mentions the word “diet”, unlike here in the American culture, it does NOT refer to “weight loss” or “calories”. Instead, it focuses on using food to help the body keep and to stay healthy.
An individual eats based on his/her constitution, health challenges, the environment, the weather, and other factors that can be readily balanced with the right kinds of food. Hence, the understanding of food energetics and how particular foods can affect your body and either throw it off balance or keep it in homeostasis is crucial to good health. In this seminar, Rene Ng (AP, L.Ac), one of Sarasota’s premier Acupuncture Physicians, will introduce you to Chinese nutrition as food therapy, and will also give you a primer that you can use to incorporate Chinese Food Therapy as an essential to your life and in maintaining good health. This is the first of a 3-part series on Chinese Food Therapy
