Reflexology is a simple, non-invasive, natural way to optimal health. Firm pressure is applied through the thumbs and fingers to reflex points which are located on all parts of the feet. By applying pressure on these points, all the organs, body structures and glands can be stimulated and encouraged to heal.
Stress is a daily part of everyday life and if we do not manage stress properly, the body’s defense mechanisms break down, making us more susceptible to illnesses. Reflexology induces relaxation and is capable of inducing a state of deep relaxation and tranquility. During a reflexology session, most people will fall asleep and awake refreshed and restored.
Reflexology boosts the immune system and provides preventive healthcare. The goal of reflexology is to achieve homeostasis, strengthening the immune system. Circulation and blood flow to every part of the body is also enhanced. Reflexology detoxifies the body and encourages the toxins to be eliminated by the colon, kidneys and skin.
The benefits of Reflexology include:
- Supports immune defense
- Small molecules easily absorbed by skin
- Affects every cell of body within 20 minutes
- Helps to transport nutrients to cells
- Powerful antioxidants
- Antibacterial, anti-cancerous, antifungal, antiparasitic, anti-infectious
- May detoxify the cells and blood
- Contains sesquiterpenes, to pass the blood-brain barrier
- Aromatic with air purification
- Promotes emotional, physical and spiritual healing
- May raise the frequency of the body restoring health
Reflexology regenerates and opens up energy pathways, revitalizing the body and recharging our batteries. Reflexology calms the mind and can provide clutter control of miscellaneous thoughts. In addition, emotional imbalances are encouraged to rise to the surface and can be balanced in treatment.
Reflexology has its origins in China over five thousand years ago and has been studied worldwide for the last one hundred years. The feet can be divided into transverse or horizontal sections. The feet precisely mirror the body. The right foot corresponds to the right hand side of the body while the left foot reflects the left side of the body. Acupuncture meridian theory is also mirrored at the tips of the toe as well as the base of the foot.
Essential oils can lift the mood, calm the senses, and elicit powerful emotional responses. Oils have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Four Pillars Spa proudly incorporates doTerra™ Essential Oils within each treatment to calm, revitalize and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.
If you have any allergies, sensitivities or simply prefer that we not use essential oils during your treatment, simply let us know when you arrive for your appointment.

Meet the Therapists
Debi Kleer| LMT, MA #95108, Certified Reflexologist and AromaTouch Practitioner
My name is Debi Kleer…my accent is South African … and priority is YOU!!
I have been a reflexologist since 1992. It’s been a life-long passion. Since then I have become a reiki master and received certifications in AromaTouch, Crystal Healing, Thai Reflexology, and Total Body Balancing. This year I completed a 750-hour massage therapy program to add the in-depth understanding of the structural anatomy. After many years working as a Therapist in the Health and Wellness industry, I was looking to combine the benefits from many different health practices – and this allowed me to develop “Revitalize Reflex” which is a combination of my skills and expertise.
Establishing a personal connection with my clients is vital to build long-term client loyalty. Being a Reiki Master, I bring a deeper level of understanding into the true need of my client and help them to experience deep relaxation while releasing their underlying stress and fatigue. Educating my clients on continued self-care after a treatment is part of my dedication as a therapist. It gives me a great sense of fulfillment when I see improvement in their physical health condition and emotional wellbeing.

Shannon Carr | Advanced Medical Esthetician & Certified Reflexologist
Shannon graduated from esthetics school in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000. She went on to further her education in 2008 at the Dallas Center for Advanced Medical Esthetics. She returned to school and attended IUPUI in 2010 and became a certified Reflexologist. She has been practicing esthetics for 20 years and reflexology for 10 years.
Shannon has had a great desire to care for people and help them look and feel their very best. She started out in a nursing program because she wanted to work with hospice patients. Her path was abruptly changed by a simple gift certificate for a facial that was actually a divine intervention. She went on to volunteer with hospice patients while she was attending school to become a licensed aesthetician where she landed in her calling. In 2020 after her youngest of three children graduated from high school, she and her husband of 25 years decided to go on an adventure and move to Florida. She is very excited to join our team at Four Pillars! She will help nurture and care for your health and skincare needs within our loving environment at Four Pillars.
Her motto is “Skincare with Inner care!”
Shannon is looking forward to working with you to look and feel your best.
Shannon offers luxurious facials as well as reflexology sessions. You can also add a 30 minute reflexology session at the end of your facial treatment.
